Dear colleagues,
With this message we intend to first wish you a peaceful 2018 filled with success and then, we would like to update you with news and projects that FATI has in store for you this year. Let's start by sharing with you what emerged during our last General Assembly, whose agenda included, among various items, the election of the new Board of Directors. The members attending the General Assembly elected: Antonietta Di Pietro, President Patrizia Coco, Vice President Camilla Fantechi, Treasurer Annalisa Katz, Director Nikole Sanchez, Secretary Those present agreed to judge positively the activities undertaken by our organization in 2017 and to continue these initiatives, aimed at promoting staff development programs and the active participation of students within the community. In line with this we are working on the launch of our next project, which we will announce shortly. Speaking about news, we are pleased to inform you of the arrival of Dr. Serafina Di Rosa as the new Director of the Educational office of the Consulate General of Italy in Miami. Dr. Di Rosa (that some of you have met) has put forward proposals for the development of the Italian language and culture in our schools and universities and for the support of the AP Italian Language courses; proposals to which we have been encouraged to contribute and that we will support with the same enthusiasm that we dedicate to all the projects we undertake. We have modified our website https://www.fatiassociationfla.org/ with the intent of making it also an instrument for a direct participation. The page https://www.fatiassociationfla.org/notizie.html, for example, has a "blog" to facilitate the publication of your contributions (comments, reviews of films, books and articles or anything else you consider important for our community). Visit us often! Last but not least ... subscribe or renew your registration for the year 2018, you will find the instructions and procedures on this page: https://www.fatiassociationfla.org/per-iscriversi.html. Remember, registration fees and contributions from our supporters are our only source of financial support for funding our programs. We need everyone's help because we are FATI. Sincerely, Antonietta Di Pietro, President Patrizia Coco, Vice President Camilla Fantechi, Treasurer Annalisa Katz, Director Nikole Sanchez, Secretary |
